Jenna Plein began her career as an Oil and Watercolor Painter. She has a passion for art and explored many art making and creative opportunities during her life. She loved making Ceramics and Pottery using her Kiln, also Textiles Art such as quilt making and later Silversmithing. Jenna loves to go out and prospect her own rocks. She cuts, cabs, polishes the stones and then turns them into her beautiful designs. Jenna enjoys sharing her knowledge of her craft to her students with field trips to mines and teaching them the Native American way of Silversmithing.
Jenna began her Silversmith Craft in the Southwest over thirty years ago. Taught by a Native American Jeweler, she has perfected her craft over the years while creating beautiful works of art working with many gem stones, especially Turquoise. Jenna also enjoys teaching her knowledge of Silversmith and Coppersmith. She has taught many classes in Seattle, San Francisco, Portland and San Diego. Returning back to Las Vegas she enjoys teaching her craft and sharing her Knowledge to her students. She is now working in Lahaina on the Island of Maui with her new dichroic glass wearable art. A true artist creating and using tools in a variety of art forms. A renowned artist in Silversmithing, she is also an active member in the California Gem and Mineral Society as well as the Nevada Gem and Mineral Society for over twenty years.
